What is a Lease Plan?
A lease plan must be provided alongside any complete or partial lease of a property or land; a residential lease plan is necessary when a property does not possess the freehold, which is common for properties converted into flats; and a commercial lease plan is needed for leases that last 7 years or more on a property.

Requirement of a Compliant Plan
- Drawn to the displayed scale
- Inclusion of northpoint
- Drawn to suitable scale (1:1250, 1:500, 1:200)
- Shows sufficient surrounding features
- Not marked ‘DRAFT’ or ‘Do Not Scale’
- Clearly shows the property or land extents
- Show a floorplan
- Clearly indicate the level of the property
