Brief
Our client reached out to us after we successfully submitted another application to the local planning authority for a different property in their vicinity. They inquired about a planning application aimed at establishing a drop kerb at the front of their property. The existing driveway located at the rear was inadequate for our client and their young family. By providing vehicle access and a driveway at the front, their daily life would be enhanced, providing entry to the front and allowing them to optimize the rear garden area for their children to play.
Result
We achieved planning permission for the project within a few weeks of our submission. In preparing the application, our proposal needed to take into account various factors, including existing street furniture, proximity to the existing junction, the grassed verge, visibility for both vehicles and pedestrians, as well as drainage through the proposed soakaway.
Our works included:
– Location Plan
– Site Plan (including visibility splays, vehicle tracking, standard detail, and existing photographs
– Proposed and Existing Elevation drawing
– Covering Letter
– Submission via Planning Portal
Review
Matthew supported us with our dropped kerb application/design on a classified Rd. It was never a certainty that we would get permission granted. However, the professionalism and knowledge Matthew contributed to the application, certainly helped to obtain permission. We definitely couldn’t have done it without him.
